Elaine connects to nature through her thoughtful, artistic approach to landscapes and more recently animals and figurative work. Her intense choice of hues, colors and movement express her style as she explores each piece as an intimate setting. Often times the painting provides the viewer an insight to a location that they may have experienced themselves. Light and color play an important role in her landscapes. She explores the freedom of movement with each stroke of the pastel allowing the emotion and thought of the moment come through the pastel onto the paper.
On the weekends you will find Elaine experiencing the outdoors as much as possible. She has always been passionate about the natural environment and her artwork demonstrates this passion. Elaine works full time as a sustainability consultant and looks forward to when she can paint more frequently.
